From July 19 – July 31, 2020, the Aero-Club Stendal will welcome 90 pilots from around the world. The pilots of 3 gliding classes will be fighting for the 36th FAI World Gliding Cup in the sky of an area over more than 1000 square kilometers around the airfield of Stendal-Borstel.
The 36th FAI World Gliding Championships 2020 is organized by the Aero-Club Stendal, the Flugplatzgesellschaft Stendal-Borstel GmbH in collaboration with the World Air Sports Federation (FAI), the German Aero Club (DAeC), the Federal Gliding Commission (BuKo Segelflug) and more than 50 volunteers from all over Germany.
